Abstract

The article reveals the features of the hotel sphere in Egypt over the past ten years. The data on the number of tourists, hotels and revenues received by the tourism industry of Egypt in the period from 2011 to 2020 are analyzed. The volume of tourist flow in the specified period is uneven, since events such as the crash of a Russian airliner or a pandemic affect the number of foreign tourists. The most visited tourist regions of Egypt are South Sinai, the Red Sea, Cairo. The largest number of incoming tourists falls on 2012 and 2019. The largest annual income of the tourism industry was received in 2019. Cities with the most developed infrastructure have a greater demand among other tourist destinations in Egypt.
